Teresa Mary Palmer, born February 26, 1986, is an Australian actress and model. Teresa has appeared in films including December Boys, Bedtime Stories, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and more. She is best known for films such as I Am Number Four, Take Me Home Tonight and Warm Bodies.

Teresa was born in Adelaide, South Australia. She is the only child of Kevin Palmer and Paula Sanders. Her parents divorced when she was three. Teresa has a stepmother, Karen, and two half-sisters and two stepbrothers. Teresa was a student at Mercedes College, a private Catholic school. In 2003, Teresa won a local casting audition for “Search for a Movie Star.” Teresa dressed up as Strawberry Shortcake and Santa’s Little Helper for promotions in shopping centres near Adelaide. She went to acting classes, and appeared in a few television commercials. In 2005, Teresa was an attendant at Hungry Jack’s in Rundle Mall, before she worked at clothing retailers including Supré, Mambo Australia, and Cotton On. After Teresa graduated high school, her local talent agent called about appearing in a student film, 2:37. Teresa thought that she would work at an animal rescue service, and hoped to open her own animal welfare agency. Teresa was accepted into university to study teaching and to also was taking a course on journalism, however, she always dreamt of acting. Teresa ended up quitting university to work on the film.
